Macau, February 19, 2018 — Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Cotai celebrates the arrival of the Year of the Dog with an array of festive activities, beginning with the spectacular dragon and lion dance as well as the lighting of 800,000 firecrackers at the resort on February 18 and 19, the third day and fourth day of the Lunar New year. Mr. Ian Michael Coughlan, President of Wynn Macau, Ltd., led the management team in officiating the lion eye-dotting ceremony, which symbolizes good luck and fortune for the coming year.

Upholding the company's tradition of collaborating with local artists, Wynn has commissioned renowned Macau's illustrator Mr. Un Chi Wai to design Chinese New Year greeting cards for the God of Fortune to hand out during the festive period, as well as in-room post card sets as souvenirs for guests at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Cotai this year. In addition to working with various brands from around the world, Mr. Un was also involved in different local art projects, such as Macau International Parade, Macao International Music Festival and Macao Arts Festival. His illustration this time is themed around "festive gourmet and family reunion," which demonstrates the rich tradition of how locals celebrate Chinese New Year.

Furthermore, Wynn continues to participate in MGTO's annual Chinese New Year Parade. In celebration of the Year of the Dog and Macau's recent recognition as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, the Wynn float this year features a lovely puppy riding a floral hot air balloon and delectable signature Wynn's delicacies like colorful macarons and Chinese pastry items, etc. The dazzling Wynn float carries good wishes and an abundance of blessings for everyone in the New Year.
