Wynn Spreads Good Wishes with Festive Cheer and Christmas Carols
Sharing warm holiday blessings with the underprivileged
Macau, December 19, 2018 – Wynn has always been committed to giving back to the community and caring for the underprivileged. To celebrate Christmas this year, Wynn organized an array of festive activities with various social organizations. The efforts aim to spread blessings to all levels of society with the arrival of the Christmas season, uniting forces from different sectors to build a harmonious community. As in the past, Wynn invited The International School of Macau (TIS) Crescendo Choir to present the gift of music at the lobby of Wynn Macau. In addition, Wynn also joined hands with The Salvation Army (Macau) Learning Centre to organize a series of activities during the ‘Wynn Care – Christmas Carol Week’ this year, and kicked off the event at Iao Hon Market Garden. The Wynn Choir debuted their first public performance with The Salvation Army (Macau) Learning Centre children’s choir to present many classic Christmas songs and short yuletide dramas. The kick-off night attracted many people to stop by and appreciate the show. During the week, the WE Volunteer Team also conducted friendly visits and gave away Christmas gifts.
Sending holiday blessings during this joyful season
The International School of Macau (TIS) Crescendo Choir performed a number of familiar traditional Christmas hymns and carols for the local citizens and tourists at the lobby of Wynn Macau, such as Jingle Bell Rock, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Their gentle singing and music filled the space, adding a festive atmosphere to the event. The International School of Macau (TIS) Crescendo Choir consists of 88 primary school students, aged between 5 and 12. After the performance, this talented group of students were invited to make meaningful handmade cards together to convey their blessings this festive season, and to encourage them to care more about others.
During the event, Linda Chen, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, and Doreen Stribbell, representative of The International School of Macau (TIS), presented the blessing cards made by The International School of Macau (TIS) Crescendo Choir and WE Volunteer Team to Grace Lam, Director of the Concordia School for Special Education. Wynn hoped not only to bring festive joy to guests through the event, but also encourage everyone to share their love and enjoy a blissful Christmas season together.
Sharing gifts with Christmas Carols
The WE Volunteer Team visited the Concordia School for Special Education and created handmade Christmas decorations with the students, passing a joyful afternoon together. The WE Volunteer Team prepared 170 Christmas gifts and presented them along with the Christmas cards made by the choir of The International School of Macau (TIS) Crescendo Choir to the students in Concordia School for Special Education, symbolizing Christmas blessings being sent to every corner of our community and allowing the children to feel more valued and loved.
WE Volunteer Team’s friendly visits
To promote caring spirit, WE Volunteer Team joined hands with The Salvation Army (Macau) Learning Centre choir and visited approximately 140 elderly at Cheng I Elderly Service Center, Casa Ricci Elderly Centre and Mong Ha Elderly Centre. The volunteers shared the festive atmosphere and care with the elderly to celebrate the Christmas season. In support of the sustainable development of local social services institutions, the volunteers made a particular effort to send them Christmas gifts made and packaged by members of the Fuhong Society of Macau.
Wynn will continue its efforts to care for the underprivileged and give back to society, passing on love and care to all corners of Macau. At the same time, Wynn would like to thank all of the volunteers for sparing their leisure time to contribute to society. This underlies the spirit of injecting friendship, harmony, kindness, and care into the community. Wynn will continue to work to promote a caring culture and actively bring positive energy to the community.
