Wynn Shines at Annual Vocational Skills Competition
A showcase of success in talent cultivation
Macau, June 13, 2022 – The fourth edition of the annual Macao Integrated Tourism and Leisure Enterprises Vocational Skills Competition, co-organized by the Labour Affairs Bureau and the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, took place on June 8 and 9. Wynn once again took part in the competition this year, competing in all three categories—Gaming & Entertainment, Hotel Services and Gastronomy. The 23-strong Team Wynn engaged in friendly competition and exchange with over 100 fellow contestants, and their excellence performances serve as a testament to Wynn's commitment to talent cultivation and vocational training and its resultant success.
Throughout the competition, Wynn team members displayed outstanding skills and a great team spirit, ultimately receiving nine awards. These include Champion (Group) and Runner-up (Individual) in Calculation, Second Runner-up (Group) in Chip Handling, and Special Gold Award (Group) in Game Rules & Customer Services in the Gaming & Entertainment Vocational Skills Competition; Special Gold Awards (Group) in both Housekeeping & Design and Facilities Maintenance in the Hotel Services Vocational Skills Competition; and Gold Award (Group) in F&B Services, Gold Award (Group) in Western Cuisine, and Best Dessert in the Gastronomy Vocational Skills Competition.
Wynn places great importance on talent cultivation and has in place a diversity of thoughtfully designed and targeted training programs for its team members. Fostering talent is an essential part of our effort to support the development of Macao as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure. In addition, by vigorously participating in skills competitions and activities, Wynn hopes to encourage its team members to continuously challenge themselves and enhance their capabilities, and shine bright in their careers as valued workers and pillars of the industry.
