Wynn Hosts Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Celebratory Cocktail Event in Singapore
Bringing culinary leaders from around the world together
and showcasing the unique "tourism + gastronomy" experiences of Macau
Macau, April 4, 2023 — Wynn recently hosted a celebratory cocktail event in Singapore to congratulate the 50 most influential restaurants that now rank on the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list. Chefs from three award-winning Wynn restaurants showcased the diversified dining experiences at both Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace at the event, where culinary professionals and international media exchanged ideas and learned about Macau's prestigious UNESCO-designated "Creative City of Gastronomy" status as well as the unique "tourism + gastronomy" experiences of the dynamic destination.
The celebratory cocktail event served as an engaging platform for over 40 world-renowned chefs, food critics, media and culinary professionals from China, Singapore, South Korea and Japan to meet Wynn's F&B executives as well as the head chefs from the three award-winning restaurants – Wing Lei Palace Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung, Sichuan Moon Culinary Director André Chiang and Executive Chef Wilson Fam as well as Golden Flower Executive Chef Henry Zhang Zhi Cheng.
Each chef thoughtfully prepared canapés that would best capture the unique characteristics of each restaurant at Wynn. For example, Chef Tam at Wing Lei Palace presented Deep-fried shrimp mantou with kamquat oil. Sichuan Moon's Chef André and Chef Fam meticulously prepared Kagami crab gluten dumpling in spices chili oil, while Chef Zhang at Golden Flower presented his famed Slow-cooked abalone with crispy scallions. Each dish highlighted the remarkable diversity of Macau's rich gastronomic culture. While enjoying the delicious delicacies, guests of the cocktail event shared the joys of winning, while discussing the latest trends in culinary and future developments in the world of gastronomy.
Asia's 50 Best selects the 50 most influential and best restaurants in Asia each year, and is considered to be one of the most prestigious culinary awards events in Asia. Wynn recently earned international recognition as two of its Chinese restaurants at Wynn Palace – Wing Lei Palace and Sichuan Moon – both ranked on the Asia's 50 Best list this year. Earning a spot on the list for a fifth consecutive year, Wing Lei Palace received the "Best Restaurant in Macau" honor for the first time this year, and elevated its ranking to #39. Sichuan Moon has also returned to the Asia's 50 Best list, ranking #43 this year. Prior to the awards ceremony, Asia's 50 Best announced that Golden Flower made the 51-100 extended list for a second consecutive year. This recognition from Asia's 50 Best is testament to the exceptional dining experiences on offer in Macau.
