Grand Opening Kicks Off Grand Prix Carnival at Wynn Palace

Macau, November 13, 2021 ─ To further promote the 68th Macau Grand Prix, Wynn will be the title sponsor of the "Wynn Macau Challenge Cup" and will also host the Grand Prix Carnival over two consecutive weekends on November 12-14 and November 19-21 at the lawn adjacent to the South Entrance of Wynn Palace, enabling residents and tourists to immerse themselves in the lively atmosphere of the Grand Prix. As the pandemic situation in Macau further eases, Wynn hopes that the event will further energize the diversified development of Macau's sports and tourism industries.

The opening ceremony of the event was held at Wynn Palace today (November 13), and was officiated by Mr. Pun Weng Kun, President of the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office of the Macao SAR Government, Mr. Lei Chou Sam, Executive Director of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Mr. Ho King Lun, Member of the Macao Sports Committee, and Ms. Linda Chen, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, as well as local race drivers Eurico de Jesus and Filipe Clemente de Souza.

Ms. Linda Chen said at the event that she hopes the "Grand Prix Carnival" can create an atmosphere of mutual enjoyment by synergizing with the Grand Prix, introducing more positive energy into society amid the pandemic. The carnival not only provides opportunities for parents to spend time with their children, but also enables children to learn about the Macau Grand Prix and the city's sports history at an early age. After the opening ceremony, the two local race drivers were invited to the stage for a sharing session to further promote motorsports culture, adding luster to the iconic annual sports event in Macau.

The Grand Prix Carnival at Wynn Palace is open from 12 noon to 10 pm (Fridays) and 11 am to 10 pm (Saturdays and Sundays), featuring a mini-racing track for kids, a grand racing-themed game booth, a themed photo booth, exciting stage performances, gourmet food and themed cultural and creative retail activities. There is also a special zero-distance racing display zone and real-time broadcasts of the races, enabling the audience to feel the excitement of the Grand Prix up close.

The event is free for admission, with the public able to register through online appointment (https://bit.ly/3kkwuoQ)and choose a time slot to enter the event within a limited quota. A small quota of walk-in spaces will also be available to enable visitors to join the event. In addition, the event also strictly abides by and implements various pandemic prevention measures. Participants must have their body temperature checked when entering the venue, and they must wear masks and present their personal "Macao Health Code", in order to ensure that members of the public can have fun together and experience the excitement of the races in a safe environment.
