Wynn Hosts "The 4th Macau-Qingdao Beer & Cultural Festival and Macau-Qingdao Week"
Expanding cross-border integration of Macao's "Tourism +" initiatives and
promoting cultural tourism and trade ties between the two cities
Macao, November 7, 2024 – Wynn will host the "The 4th Macau-Qingdao Beer & Cultural Festival and Macau-Qingdao Week" at the Wynn Palace Entertainment Event Marquee for three consecutive days starting November 7. A variety of beer products will be on offer, and SMEs from both cities have been invited to participate in the "Macau-Qingdao Week" to bolster cultural tourism as well as economic and trade ties between Macao and Qingdao. To help promote the diversification and continued sustainable development of Macao's tourism industry, Wynn is collaborating with the Macao SAR Government's "1+4" appropriate diversification development strategy, organizing an array of diversified events to attract visitors to Macao, enriching the cultural tourism industry, and strengthening the cross-border integration of Macao's "Tourism +" initiatives.
An opening ceremony was held today (November 7) at the Wynn Palace Entertainment Event Marquee. Ms. Liu Shengqin, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and Director of the Publicity Department said in her speech: "Qingdao and Macao are continually expanding partnerships and making significant strides in the fields of economy and trade, MICE, cultural tourism, education, AI, and other industries. We hope Qingdao and Macao will continue to jointly foster even more exchanges and collaborations to create high-quality products which will ultimately make the "Macau-Qingdao Beer & Cultural Festival" and "Macau-Qingdao Week" events even better in future. With beer as the perfect beverage to bring us together and the festival as a platform to network and build new relationships, we can develop high-quality products and write our own "Tale of Two Cities" success story."
Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) said in her speech: "Macao and Qingdao are both coastal resort tourism destinations and members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The two cities are closely collaborating in the fields of tourism economics and the creative industries, and this event will strengthen and cultivate even more exchanges in these areas. By continuing to leverage the unique advantages of Qingdao and Macao to advance tourism and related industries, the two cities are destined to achieve greatness together."
Ms. Linda Chen, President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Wynn Macau, Limited said in her speech: "Through this event, we hope to promote mega-events, attract more tourists, and further promote the development of the local economy. We also look forward to making this event a platform for bridging future collaborations between companies in Macao and Qingdao, developing more business opportunities, promoting the exchange of cultures, and boosting the economic growth of both cities."

"The 4th Macau-Qingdao Beer & Cultural Festival and Macau-Qingdao Week" brings together great food, beer, and live music for a fun and festive atmosphere at Wynn. In addition to the festivities, the organizers held a "Qingdao-Macao Economic and Trade Exchange Conference" at the Wynn Palace Grand Theater Ballroom on the afternoon of November 7. The aim of the conference is to promote exchanges and build new partnerships between Qingdao and Macao in the areas of economy, trade, culture, and tourism, while also exploring new avenues for the development of industries in both cities. A number of signing ceremonies were also held during the conference to stimulate economic development as well as promote mutual growth and prosperity for the two destinations.
