Wynn Successfully Hosts "4th New Era International TV Festival" at Wynn Palace

Promoting the diversified development of the Chinese-language film and TV industry
and transforming Macao into a 'City of Performing Arts'

 

Macao, April 27, 2024 — Wynn and SAIC Volkswagen partnered together to host the 4th New Era International TV Festival Ammolite Awards Presentation Ceremony on April 27 at Wynn Palace. The New Era International TV Festival Ammolite Awards is a TV series judging event jointly organized by Hong Kong and Macao media. The awards event honors the best Chinese-language TV series of 2023 which have been broadcast on TV and online across Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. Judging for the Ammolite Awards takes place in Macao, renowned for its unique blend of East-West cultures. Macao is the perfect locale for staging the event which aims to support the global expansion of Chinese-language TV dramas and forge new collaborations within the international TV industry to promote arts and culture around the world. Wynn is honored to host this high-profile TV Festival in support of the diversified development of the Chinese film and TV industry, while also advancing the development of Macao as a dynamic cultural destination and a 'City of Performing Arts'.

To officially kick off the Awards Ceremony on April 27, an educational 4th China Culture Power Forum was held at Wynn Palace. Zhang Bin, Professor and Deputy Dean of the Shanghai Film Academy at Shanghai University and Zeng Zihang, a renowned film critic, host and writer hosted the academic forum which focused on several important themes: embracing the era of AI, strengthening the film industry, and the impact of upcoming generative AI models such as Sora on the film and TV industry. Following on from the forum, the TV industry's best producers, directors and actors from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao graced the Awards Ceremony red carpet.

The 4th New Era International TV Festival Ammolite Awards Presentation Ceremony successfully brought together the region's best in the industry to boost knowledge-sharing and culture exchanges on a global level.
