Wynn Receives Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2024
Wynn receives the accolade of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year among the seven nominated organizations at the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2024.
Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman, and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, said, "We are very honored to receive the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year award at the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2024. This award is a testament to the Wynn team's collective effort and commitment to contributing to sustainable development in Macao and beyond globally. Wynn is continually committed to caring for the community and will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities with determination, bringing a positive impact to our stakeholders, community, and environment through our actions."
Over the years, Wynn has been developing and implementing sustainable strategies and solutions, including becoming Macao's first integrated resort to recycle shredded playing cards and installing an on-site Nordaq water bottling plant on a significant scale to reduce plastic waste. By introducing Winnow Vision, a world-leading AI-based waste monitoring system, Wynn paved the way for optimizing energy consumption while reducing waste and pollution. Extending their commitment to the community, Wynn joins hands with local universities and colleges to raise awareness about environmental protection and promote a green Macau with a low carbon footprint. Moreover, for two consecutive years, Wynn received the prestigious Silver Certification from EarthCheck, the world's leading scientific benchmarking, certification, and advisory group for the travel and tourism industry. This distinction marks Wynn as the only resort operator in Macao to have all its properties certified.
Established for ten years, the Global Gaming Awards are the most prestigious awards in the gaming industry. The Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific are powered by Gambling Insider, the leading B2B publication in the gaming industry, to recognize companies with outstanding performances in APAC for the past 12 months. Winners are chosen by a panel of senior industry executives, and the voting process is independently adjudicated by KPMG in the Crown Dependencies.
