Chef Tam’s Seasons at Wynn Palace Listed #9 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025
Honored as the "Highest Climber Award" winner and named the “Best Restaurant in Macau” for the second year all at once
Macao, March 25, 2025 – The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 award ceremony took place today in Seoul, South Korea, revealing the list of Asia’s 50 most influential and outstanding restaurants this year. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung, Chef Tam’s Seasons at Wynn Palace is ranked #9 on the prestigious list, being the only Macao restaurant to achieve this feat. With a rise of 40 places in the ranking, the restaurant has been honored as the winner of “Highest Climber Award” and has once again been recognized as the “Best Restaurant in Macau” for the second consecutive year since last year’s debut.
Cantonese Master Chef Tam Kwok Fung is the mastermind behind Chef Tam’s Seasons, blending the 24 solar terms in traditional Chinese culture with Cantonese cuisine. Through his seasonal menus, Chef Tam carefully selects the ingredients for each dish based on the micro-changes in regional climate. Seasonal delicacies are prepared carefully in accordance with time to harmonize the five flavors. Chef Tam remains committed to preserving the legacy of Cantonese cuisine through a blend of Eastern and Western influences, while also introducing contemporary culinary techniques to add even more vitality to otherwise traditional dishes. Since its opening, the restaurant has garnered significant acclaims, including earning two MICHELIN stars at the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2025 this March.
On March 22, Chef Tam’s Seasons’ Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung teamed up with Chef Min Kyung-Hwan of the premium Hanwoo restaurant Born & Bred in Seoul, Korea, for an exclusive one-night-only gastronomic event ahead of the ceremony. As part of the “50 Best Signature Sessions”, the two chefs collaborated to prepare an array of Cantonese-Korean delicacies at the newly opened Born & Bred Original. Chef Tam showcased his creativity by crafting special dishes using premium Korean seasonal ingredients, complementing Chef Min Kyung-Hwan’s signature Hanwoo offerings. This initiative demonstrates Wynn’s commitment to fostering stimulating conversations and exchanges between Macao and international culinary industry leaders, showcasing the region’s diverse gastronomic cultures and exceptional dining experiences.
Additionally, Mark Lloyd, Head Mixologist of Wing Lei Bar at Wynn Palace, joined forces with Lee Kum Kee to present an exclusive guest shift experience at Pine & Co in Seoul on March 23. Ranked No. 50 on the 2024 Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, Pine & Co is renowned for its innovative approach to cocktails and its incorporation of ingredients commonly found in Korean cuisine, a philosophy that resonates deeply with Wing Lei Bar. Mark poured up a several of his newly debuted cocktails from Wing Lei Bar with an unexpected Lee Kum Kee sauce-inspired twist, creating an unforgettable experience for cocktail enthusiasts in Seoul.
Asia's 50 Best Restaurants presents a list of the 50 most influential and best restaurants in Asia annually and is considered one of the region's most prestigious culinary awards events.
