Wynn is the Title Sponsor of the Macau Primary School Student National Education Drawing Competition

Macau, October 19, 2016 – The "Wynn Cup – Macau Primary School Student National Education Drawing Competition" was officially launched at Wynn Macau today, sponsored by Wynn and organized by the National Conditions Education Association (Macau). The program aims to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of national education among primary school students, aiming to nurture their national pride and enhance their drawing skills and aesthetic competence.
 
The press conference for the program was held at 3pm today in the meeting room of Wynn Macau. In her keynote speech, Ms. Linda Chen, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, said that Wynn has put a lot of emphasis on corporate social responsibility since it started its business in Macau. For Wynn, corporate social responsibility is not merely about driving revenue growth and being accountable to shareholders; more, it should be about integrating its core business capabilities and making concrete contributions to the Macau community and environment rather than just making profit. As the title sponsor of the Macau Primary School Student National Education Drawing Competition, Wynn hopes that the program can enhance Macau primary school students' knowledge of national conditions and promote exchanges in the fields of culture, art and education between mainland China and Macau, while earnestly carrying out its corporate social responsibility and making due contributions to Macau's prosperity and stability.
 
Mr. Jack Wang, President of the National Conditions Education Association (Macau), said that in order to implement the "Chinese Dream" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the National Conditions Education Association (Macau), on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Macau's handover to China, the "Wynn Cup – Macau Primary School Student National Education Drawing Competition", with the theme of "My Chinese Dream", has been launched together by organizations across different sectors in Macau. Through the drawing competition, it is hoped that children can envision their dreams and transport it to the canvas using their imagination.
 
Mr. Cui Jian and Mr. Yuan Ye, famous Chinese artists on the judging panel, introduced the terms and conditions in addition to the judging criterion , stating that the competition is open to all primary school students in Macau while the entries will be categorized into two groups – junior primary (primary 1 to 3) and senior primary (primary 4 to 6). The criterion includes creativity, composition and use of color in the drawings. In the competition, children can combine their "personal dream" and their "Chinese dream" through drawings to depict their dreams and hopes, as well as the beauty of life. This competition can break the boundaries set by schools and classes and showcase the rich imagination, creativity, aesthetics and innovative thinking of the students, and in the meantime popularizing national education. Not only can participating students be awarded individually, they can also join as a team. Winning entries will also be exhibited at the participating schools.
