Four Signature Restaurants at Wynn Palace Awarded "Best of Award of Excellence" on Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards 2024
Macao, July 18, 2024 – Wynn Palace's signature restaurants have been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator's 2024 Restaurant Awards, the world's only program focused exclusively on restaurants' wine service and list selections. Chef Tam's Seasons, a MICHELIN star Cantonese fine dining restaurant that just opened last year, Mizumi, a contemporary yet sophisticated Japanese dining establishment, Lakeview Palace, a restaurant showcasing Jiangnan cuisine with a modern touch, and Wynn's signature American steakhouse SW Steakhouse, have each been awarded with "Best of Award of Excellence", recognized for their outstanding wine lists and their service teams' impeccable knowledge.
Following the recent debut of Wynn Signature Chinese Wine Awards in Macao, the world's biggest Chinese wine competition of international standard, which honored the best wines across China. Wynn's signature restaurants, including the four enlisted in Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards have each selected the finest and award-winning Chinese wines on their lists. This recognition is a testament to Wynn's culinary excellence, devotion to promote Chinese wine and continued contribution to Macao's role as a UNESCO designated 'Creative City of Gastronomy'.
Helmed by Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung, Chef Tam's Seasons is a conceptual restaurant that revitalizes Cantonese cuisine by matching global ingredients with contemporary culinary techniques, complete with a food and nourishment philosophy that pays homage to seasonality of 24 solar terms. The restaurant is a proud recipient of one MICHELIN star and is also the best restaurant in Macao on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2024. To showcase the rich Chinese wine culture, the experienced sommelier team sources a vast collection of Chinese baijiu and presents guests with an outstanding collection of award-winning wines from different regions in China.
Mizumi at Wynn Palace presents contemporary Japanese cuisine in a theatrical way. Executive Chef Hironori Maeda is the mastermind behind this restaurant which revealed its brand-new look earlier this year, providing guests with an unparalleled dining experience through his signature dishes crafted from fresh, seasonal ingredients. Mizumi is also home to an experienced in-house sake sommelier team. Well versed in the characteristics and flavors of different sake, the team thoughtfully curates tailored sake pairing to enhance the flavors of each delicately prepared dish. Mizumi's unique curation of sakes features award-winning, new wave, seasonal, and limited-edition sakes sourced from artisanal brewers that are unique to Macao and exclusive to Wynn Palace.
Lakeview Palace presents the flavors of Jiangnan in an innovative way, cleverly blending classic Jiangnan cuisine with the unique, modern character of Jiangsu and Zhejiang as well as gastronomic influences from Sichuan and Guangdong. Each dish promises an exquisite surprise for the taste buds, where gourmands can experience the elegance of Jiangnan cuisine in the beautiful ambience of Lakeview Palace. The restaurant offers various of award-winning Chinese wine to match with signature dishes.
SW Steakhouse at Wynn Palace – Macao's classic American steakhouse and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Restaurant, under the leadership of Executive Chef Helder Sequeira Amaral, SW Steakhouse presents premium steakhouse fare and the finest seafood, paired with an unforgettable theatrical surprise, amazing guests with a one-of-a-kind visual animation to delight the senses. The restaurant offers Macau's finest collection of brown spirits as well as some of America's most reputable and rarest whiskies. There is also a selection of American oak barrel-aged cocktails that are made in house.
Launched in 1981, Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine, and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.
