Macao, April 15, 2024 — Wynn has been supporting the Macao SAR Government's efforts in promoting a diversified development strategy, continuously enriching and showcasing Macau's diverse tourism landscape through "tourism+", and advancing the city's position as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure. Locals and tourists have welcomed Illuminarium since its launch at the end of 2023. Mr. Dennis Liu, Creative Director of RadicalMedia, is an Emmy-nominated screenwriter, director, editor, and visual effects artist. His portfolio includes directing music videos for musicians such as Mariah Carey, Sia, and Jolin Tsai. Following the hit action comedy "American Born Chinese," Liu collaborated with Mr. Noah Gladstone, Musical Director of Hollywood Scoring, to create this immersive multi-sensory journey. Liu said, "I am very grateful to Wynn for providing this extraordinary venue, Illuminarium. The endless possibilities of Illuminarium allow Noah, the team, and my artistic freedom to run wild in our creations. The immersive experiences can evoke strong emotions that go beyond a 2D screen, fostering deeper connections between users and the content, resulting in memorable and impactful sensory experiences. With 'MUSIC IN LIGHT', you are able to be up close, right up next to the instruments and musicians with personified projections of the music and tell their stories with symbolic visuals."

RadicalMedia began preparing for "MUSIC IN LIGHT" a year ago, bringing together the world's top talents, including cinematographer Igor Martinovec, who has shot "House of Cards" for Netflix; laser artist John Dickson, who has created programs for Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, and Coachella; and London-based visual effects and editing partner Treatment Studios. The "MUSIC IN LIGHT" experience involves strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, organ keyboards, etc., and borrowed a Stradivarius violin worth US$12 million to replicate the classical story and bring it to life. From the 18th century's Mozart to modern pieces from Holst and Saint-Saëns, professional music fans and the public can experience the recreation together with the impactful visual.

To celebrate the unveiling of "MUSIC IN LIGHT", Mr. Lio Kuokman, Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Macao Orchestra, specially recorded a congratulatory video for the event. Lio shared his views on promoting music to different audiences, including locals and tourists. The moving melody adds new impetus to the development of local culture and art.

The visual techniques featured in "MUSIC IN LIGHT" are a combination of cinematic in-camera effects, lasers, and 2D / 3D animation. Audiences are immersed in dynamic images through over 185 million pixels in full 8K, filmed under special lenses called Macro Diopters that create a visual world unique to each piece, which interacts with the four walls and the floor of Illuminarium. World-class Hollywood sound engineers have mixed the audio for this show so that it envelops the audience completely through HOLOPLOT, one of the most advanced sound systems in the world, to complete the 360-degree immersive experience. Haptic technology, which creates a sense of touch, further amplifies the sensory experience, accentuating the highs and lows of the musical compositions, giving visitors a unique opportunity to actually feel the music. This dreamlike audiovisual journey into the world's most celebrated classical masterpieces, breaks all boundaries. Throughout the three-dimensional multi-sensory experience at Illuminarium, audiences will be completely swept away while sipping on cocktails, listening to world-renowned masterpieces, and taking in the vivid digital art swirling all around them.
