Wynn Opens New Medical Centre to Boost Big Health Industry
The Spa at Wynn Palace is home to the first medical centre in Macao
to provide physical therapy treatments at a spa
Macao, Aug 14, 2024 — Wynn is pleased to announce the opening of the EliteKinesio Medical Centre (Wynn Palace) at The Spa at Wynn Palace. The EliteKinesio Medical Centre (Wynn Palace) is the first medical centre to provide physical therapy treatments at a spa in Macao. Set within The Spa at Wynn Palace, the new medical centre will offer holistic health services and provide tailored treatment plans that are customized for every individual. In addition, The Spa at Wynn Palace is offering an array of new Touchless Well-Being Enhancements such as Float Therapy; Red Light Therapy; Vibration and Sound Therapy as well as Cryotherapy. Through these new health and wellness offerings, Wynn aims to contribute to the Big Health industry and boost "Tourism + Wellness" programs in line with the Macao SAR Government's "1+4" appropriate diversification development strategy.
Wynn is opening the EliteKinesio Medical Centre (Wynn Palace) in collaboration with Ms. Cary Lam, an experienced, Macao-registered therapist specializing in Physical Therapy. The new medical centre at The Spa at Wynn Palace offers customized treatment plans that resolve pain issues, prevent injuries, and improve quality of sleep, while also providing tailored exercise programs such as core muscle strengthening, cardiorespiratory fitness and much more. The EliteKinesio Medical Centre (Wynn Palace) also provides visceral manipulation, cardio, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs. The major medical services on offer include musculoskeletal management, accident or sports injuries, whole-body fascia balancing, posture correction, movement training and postpartum recovery. All therapies are conducted one-on-one by an experienced physical therapist who oversees the assessments, treatments, training, and the operation of equipment.
The Spa at Wynn Palace is also elevating its wellness offerings by introducing four new TouchlessWell-Being Enhancements. Float Therapy is a form of sensory deprivation therapy for total mind and body relaxation. By floating free in a tank filled with highly concentrated Epsom salt water heated to skin temperature, this treatment relieves stress, boosts the immune system, improves quality of sleep, stimulates creativity, and much more. Through more than 14,000 red and near-infrared LEDs,
Red Light Therapy is an effective way to aid in sports recovery, soothe joint pain, arthritis, reduce chronic pain, help wounds and injuries heal, and much more. Vibration and Sound Therapy is a completely natural Binaural Vibro-acoustic treatment experience that works on the mind and body simultaneously. Benefits of this treatment include reduced stress and mood swings, better concentration, improved mental well-being, and reduced anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. Cryotherapy is a cold, non-invasive one-chamber treatment at -85°C. This therapy accelerates muscle recovery, relieves pain, reduces stress and anxiety, improves sleep quality, boosts the immune system, and increases collagen production.
Wynn is committed to advancing the development of health and wellness in Macao over the long-term. Just recently in June, Wynn collaborated with the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of the University of Macau (UM) and the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) to host the "Macao SME Training Series – UM x Wynn Macau TCM & Big-Health Industry Study Tour" at UM. This successful meeting offered invaluable insights into Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and health products. Participants also explored new possibilities for Macao's diverse economic development through innovation and entrepreneurship, actively supporting the Macao SAR Government's "1+4" appropriate diversification development strategy. Moving forward, in support of the Big Health industry and to create more "Tourism + Wellness" offerings, Wynn will continue to provide diverse wellness facilities and treatments for Macao residents and visitors from around the world.
