Wynn Supports Macau Holy House of Mercy's Welfare Shop for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Macau, July 7, 2017 – Wynn has been actively supporting local communities and charitable activities across society over the years. This year, Wynn has continued to extend a helping hand to our community by donating MOP300,000 to Macau Holy House of Mercy (SCMM)'s Welfare Shop Project, in a bid to finance the distribution of food hampers to 360 underprivileged families.

Ms. Linda Chen, President and Executive Director of Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., presented the cheque to Mr. António José de Freitas, President of the Board of Trustees of SCMM. The ceremony was also graced by Ms. Gisela Nunes, Secretary General of SCMM, Ms. Leong Lok Wa, President of the Supervisory Committee of Macau Federation of Trade Unions, Mr. Io Hong Meng, President of the Supervisory Committee of General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau, and Ms. Katharine Liu, Vice President of Communications of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace.

This is the fifth consecutive year of support for the SCMM Welfare Shop Project. More than 40 warm-hearted volunteers from Wynn took part in distributing the food hampers. In addition, Wynn also gave out MOP100 supermarket vouchers to each household in support of the good cause. Together with the food hamper that contains basic food and daily necessities, these acts aim to ease the recipients' financial burdens.

The SCMM Welfare Shop project was launched in 2013 with the aim of assisting underprivileged families by providing them with basic food and daily necessities to alleviate the burden caused by inflation and increased cost of living. Wynn has donated a total of MOP1,400,000 over five years in support of this project.
