Chef Tam’s Seasons ranks among the top 10 restaurants in Macao Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung becomes only chef in Macao to win “Chef of the Year”
Macao, January 22, 2025 — Harper’s BAZAAR HK revealed its top 10 list of Macao restaurants at the BAZAAR Taste Elite 2025 awards. Chef Tam’s Seasons, the refined Cantonese restaurant at Wynn Palace earned a spot among the top 10 restaurants on the “BAZAAR Taste Elite 10 | MACAO” list, and Executive Chef Tam Kwok Fung who is at the helm of Chef Tam’s Seasons, has become the only chef in Macao to garner the "Chef of the Year" award. These honors not only demonstrate Wynn's commitment toward consistently delivering high culinary standards, but also reflects the company’s efforts to showcase Macao as a "Creative City of Gastronomy".
Cantonese Master Chef Tam Kwok Fung is the creative genius behind Chef Tam’s Seasons, which is renowned for its ever-changing menus based on Chef Tam’s philosophy of 24 solar terms and for also paying tribute to the rich cultural traditions of Cantonese cuisine. The seasonal delicacies for each dish are thoughtfully prepared in accordance with time to carefully harmonize the flavor profiles and to encourage guests to “eat in accordance with each season”. Chef Tam remains committed toward carrying on the legacy and authenticity of Cantonese cuisine with a blend of East and West, while also introducing contemporary concepts and techniques to add even greater vitality to traditional Cantonese cuisine. Since its opening in 2023, Chef Tam’s Seasons has already received many prestigious awards and recognition from authoritative culinary guides including the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau and the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide. For the first time this year, BAZAAR Taste Elite is commending an outstanding chef in Macao with the “Chef of the Year” accolade. Executive Chef Tam is the first and only chef in Macao to receive this new honor for the exceptional dining experiences on offer at Chef Tam’s Seasons. Throughout his more than 40-year career of remarkable culinary achievements, Chef Tam has successfully garnered many awards for his contributions to the industry. In 2023, Chef Tam became the only chef in Macao to receive the honor of “Chef of the Year” from the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide. Throughout the course of his career, he has served a host of prominent dignitaries from politicians 2 to royal families around the world. Always one to relish a good challenge, Chef Tam constantly evolves himself by being innovative and staying on top of the latest trends to take Cantonese cuisine to even greater heights.
