For visitors who enjoy shopping, The Shops at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace are pleased to offer unlimited surprises and special curated retail experiences with “The Grand Gift of Wonder”. The dragon awakens and the lion dance presents blessings for the New Year
In keeping with the indispensable cultural traditions of Chinese New Year, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace will stage colorful dragon and lion dance performances with the lighting of firecrackers on February 3 and 4 (the 6th and 7th days of Chinese New Year). Visitors are invited to follow in the footsteps of the lion dance team as it “snakes its way” through major destinations inside both hotels. It’s a lively atmosphere, as the dragon and lions dance to the beat of the gongs and drums, while also showing off their “plucking the green” stunts to spread blessings of happiness, peace, prosperity, and good health. Both resort hotels will be adorned with Chinese New Year décor for a truly festive atmosphere. Wynn Macau is also home to two popular photo hotspots – the “Tree of Prosperity” and “Goldfish Aquarium”, which also symbolize good luck. “Lotus Blossoms in Pairs, Plum Blossoms in Clusters – The Artistic World of Qi Baishi”
In honor of Chinese New Year, a celebratory occasion for family reunions and in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of Macao’s return to China, Wynn is holding a “Lotus Blossoms in Pairs, Plum Blossoms in Clusters – The Artistic World of Qi Baishi” digital art exhibit at Illuminarium from now through February 15. The theme of this exhibition symbolizes the profound relationship between Macao and the motherland as well as the joy of Macao’s reunion with the motherland. The exhibition is divided into two main sections showcasing the artistic talents of Qi Baishi. The first section – “Tianqu Scenery Paintings: Digital Art World of Qi Baishi" – uses cutting-edge digital technology to bring the master's works to life and draw viewers into his fantastic artistic world through immersive experiences. The second section features two sub-themes: “Blossoming Flowers of Home: Bird-and-Flower World of Qi Baishi" and “Joyous Flowers for a Prosperous Year: Auspicious World of Qi Baishi”. This section displays the artist's masterpieces which depict auspicious objects such as lotuses, a variety of other flowers and plants, inviting viewers to open the scrolls themselves to discover the beauty of Chinese calligraphy and paintings. Visitors are also welcome to visit the Qi Baishi-themed cultural and creative boutique store to purchase artistic gifts and take home limited edition prints from Qi Baishi – a must for avid art collectors! Festive Chinese New Year Dining at Wynn
This Chinese New Year, the signature restaurants at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace will present auspicious festive dishes and a special selection of fragrant specialty teas for families to enjoy together in celebration of a new year.
Wynn Macau
Executive Chef Chan Tak Kwong of Wing Lei, the famed two Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant at Wynn Macau, will present a series of auspicious Chinese New Year dishes such as flavorful Crispy prawn with orange sauce and seasonal vegetables. Wing Lei is also pleased to present a special Chinese New Year dim sum menu that combines good taste with good fortune. Guests will discover an array of auspicious dim sum dishes on the menu from the Steamed sea cucumber stuffed with mushroom and fish maw; Deep-fried glutinous dumplings with lobster, lily bulbs and vegetables; Steamed glutinous rice with abalone and Cantonese preserved meat and more. Drunken Fish, the exciting new seafood dining destination at Wynn Macau is growing increasingly popular with Executive Chef Henry Zhang Zhicheng at the helm. With its prime waterfront views overlooking Nam Van Lake, the vibrant Lakeside Trattoria, will present a Chinese New Year-themed Afternoon Tea set. Renowned Cantonese Master Chef Tam Kwok Fung, Executive Chef of Chef Tam Seasons, the Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant at Wynn Palace, will prepare a variety of exceptional dishes to celebrate the start of the new year. One of his standout Chinese New Year dishes is the Chilled abalone, sea cucumber, pomelo and Chinese pickle salad. He has elevated this traditional “Prosperity Toss” dish by adding abalone, sea cucumber and more premium ingredients for guests to raise in the air with their chopsticks and excitedly exclaim “Lo Hei” to usher in good fortune and happiness for the year ahead. Guests will also have an opportunity to savor a special blend of Chinese New Year Eight Treasures Tea to warm the soul.
Executive Chef Kevin Zhu of Lakeview Palace, the innovative Jiangnan-style restaurant overlooking the Performance Lake, will present an Chinese New Year banquet. One of his musttry dishes – perfectly designed for family reunions and prosperity – is the Jiangnan Style Hotchpotch, a steaming hot dish filled with all of the best ingredients symbolic of Chinese New Year. The tea sommelier at Lakeview Palace will also carefully blend a healthy Lucky Ginseng tea to replenish and rejuvenate the soul at the start of the new year.
For a limited time only, Sweets will offer clever festive dessert creations such as Taiyaki Mandarin Sorbet and Year of the Snake Chocolate, for a sweet start the new year. Wynn hosts colorful Chinese New Year festivities at Rua da Felicidade
To support local businesses, boost the diversified development of Macao and to spread joy throughout the community during Chinese New Year, Wynn is pleased to host a series of colorful events in the historic district of Rua da Felicidade, which will be full of festive Chinese New Year décor and promises a truly local experience! From January 31 (the 3rd day of Chinese New Year) to February 4 (the 7th day of the Chinese New Year), Wynn will host a lively Chinese New Year Market featuring handmade, cultural products and the Wynn Bar at Fulong will offer creative holiday drinks for visitors and local residents to enjoy. Visitors who make purchases in support of local SME businesses at Rua da Felicidade will be given a chance to participate in games and receive lucky Chinese New Year gift bags. Throughout the holidays, visitors will also have a chance to experience pop-up performances, live street music and balloon twisting. Wynn participates in the Chinese New Year Parade
On January 31 (the 3rd day of Chinese New Year) and February 8 (the 11th day of Chinese New Year), Wynn will participate in the “Parade for the Celebration of the Year of the Snake 2025” hosted by the Macao Government Tourism Office. This year, the Wynn parade float is designed around the theme – “Wynn Carnival of Events” – to represent all of the exciting festivities set to take place at Wynn throughout the year. Featuring Wynn’s iconic red and gold hues, the front of the float features a beautiful carousel which highlights the carnival-like atmosphere at Wynn. The float is also decorated with traditional festive patterns of snakes, gold ingots and lanterns which symbolize the arrival of spring, an abundance of wealth and warm Chinese New Year wishes for all. Dancers will accompany the float to entertain spectators throughout the parade. The colorful dance performances will highlight Macao’s status as a major sports destination with elements of golf, basketball and motor racing; celebrate Macao’s recent designation as a “Culture City of East Asia 2025” with traditional dance performances from China, Japan and Korea; and for the grand finale, a Chinese-style dance inspired by the magnificent paintings of Qi Baishi will showcase China’s rich and profound culture as well as the close bond Macao shares with the motherland.
