Mr. Xiangming Huang is a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a professional calligrapher of the Chinese Standard Cursive Writing Society, the Vice-Chairman of the Young Calligraphers Association of Jiangsu Province, as well as an award nominee for the Chinese Calligraphy Lanting Award and the Lin Sanzhi Award. He was named as one of the 'Top 10 Young Calligraphers in Jiangsu Province' in 2020, and has held solo and joint calligraphy exhibitions in various cities including Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Macau, and more.
In 2014, Mr. Huang accepted an invitation and created 'The Story of Stone' Calligraphy Exhibition for the second Summer Youth Olympic Games. It was his first time introducing the Jinling Yuhua Stone to the world through artistic techniques. Mr. Huang has continued to create works under this theme over the past six years. As a calligrapher and stone collector, he consciously chose the name "South Stone" for the special Yuhua stone found in Nanjing, which symbolizes both Nanjing and its geographical location in the Southern part of China. He combined the Jinling Yuhua Stone with traditional calligraphy, outlining the Yuhua Stone on rice paper using technological methods and adding classical calligraphy and literature. He combined and amplified nature, the humanities, aesthetics and calligraphy, and showcased the synthesis of tradition and modernity at the same time, bringing the audience a sense of visual and spiritual artistic enjoyment.
